So, to the OP, if you feel like FTL has lot's of replayablility and you aren't focused solely on "beating" the game, ITB has, IMHO, as much replayability as FTL. You know the basic mechanics already - pick sector, pick star system, fight or do dialog options, upgrade said ship. Sure, you have new ships to unlock, but IMHO, even less change than in ITB. The basics of FTL aare pretty well established after 10 hours (less really). That would be great for gamers who just want to crush some bugs once in a while or when the time is tight for prolonged gaming.Īs a counter point, the criticism you've levelled at ITB could also be applied to FTL. I wish the game could include a Quick Mode, meaning having a random battle with random mechs and pilots you unlocked, facing random enemoes.which does not affect the progress of your profile. ![]() But if what you seek are surprises and the unexplainable, magical fun as you got from FTL, no. If your goal is to unlock all new mechs through grinding and tryhard, yes go for it, you will have scores of hours of gaming. HOWEVER, after 10 hours of playing you would have seen most of it: punching enemies, shooting enemies, pulling enemies, pushing enemies, making body chains for group electric shock.etc. Surely you can unlock various mechs, they do change the gameplay. I would say ITB does not have as much replayable value as FTL. *I literally lived on TV dinners for five days when FTL came out.* ![]() Originally posted by HiddenPoolGameMaster:Wrote in my review of the game:
